Business Area Manager for Service at ChargeNode – Build and develop the business in our service organization
ChargeNode is in a continued strong growth phase, and the service operation is an increasingly important part of our overall business and customer experience. We are now looking for a confident, engaged, and business-driven Service Manager who wants to take full responsibility for building, leading, and further developing our service organization as a separate and profitable business unit.
In this role, you will have a clear mandate to shape structure, working methods, and organization – from strategy to daily operations. You are responsible for ensuring high quality in delivery, efficiency in service flows, and that our customer promises, including SLAs, are met nationwide. The role requires a combination of technical understanding, business acumen, and present leadership.
You report to the CEO of the group and collaborate closely with other parts of the organization, such as projects, operations, technology, and customer service. The role suits you if you have a background as a management consultant or similar, are a trained engineer, and thrive in building businesses in environments where structure, pace, and change go hand in hand. It is important that you have previous experience working on building a service organization and understand the daily needs required to build a profitable business that delivers on both customer needs and profitability goals.
About the role
We are looking for an engaged and confident Service Manager with extensive experience in the electrical industry who wants to help further develop our service operations. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for leading, organizing, and building an effective service organization, focusing on quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
As a Service Manager, you are a present leader who enjoys working closely with employees in everyday tasks, supporting them operationally and creating engagement, structure, and long-term development. You combine business acumen with a genuine interest in people and operations and are equally comfortable in strategic discussions as in operational decisions.
Your main responsibilities
As a Service Manager, you are responsible for establishing and developing a scalable and efficient service organization. This includes, among other things:
- Building the service organization from the ground up, including structure, roles, and responsibilities
- Developing service into a clear business area with goals, follow-up, and profitability responsibility
- Negotiating and establishing agreements with external service partners
- Ensuring geographical coverage and the right capacity to meet customer needs
- Following up and evaluating service partners' performance in service matters
- Ensuring that agreed SLAs are met and continuously improved
- Managing and optimizing the operational service flow from issue to resolution
- Leading and supporting staff in daily work with present and clear leadership
- Identifying, evaluating, and implementing system support and tools to streamline service flows
- Working on continuous improvements of processes, working methods, and documentation
- Ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance within the service operation
- Contributing to the management team's work and ChargeNode's overall strategy
Your profile
To succeed in this role, we see that you have a strong combination of technical competence, business understanding, and leadership. We believe you have:
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical education
- Background as a management consultant or similar role focusing on business development
- Extensive experience in the electrical industry, service operations, or technical field organization
- Documented experience in building and developing organizations and processes
- Strong business understanding and experience working with results and profitability responsibility
- Experience in contract negotiations and collaboration with external partners
- Ability to combine strategic work with operational responsibility
- A secure, clear, and engaging leadership style focused on people and performance
- A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach
